Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in City of Moreton Bay in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (39,202 people or 17.9%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (32,335 people or 14.7%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (30,987 people or 14.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 102,524 people in total or 46.7% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Newport employed 23.6% in Professionals; 11.8% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 15.2% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
