Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Moreton Bay in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (28,505 females or 26.3%)
  • Education and Training (13,691 females or 12.6%)
  • Retail Trade (12,588 females or 11.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 54,784 females in total or 50.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Samford Valley area employed 22.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 15.4% in Education and Training; and 7.9% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Moreton Bay and Samford Valley area were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (26.3% compared to 22.5%)
