Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Bribie Island in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (609 males or 20.3%)
  • Retail Trade (234 males or 7.8%)
  • Manufacturing (232 males or 7.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,075 males in total or 35.9% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Warner employed 16.6% in Construction; 9.2% in Retail Trade; and 8.1% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Bribie Island and Warner were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (20.3% compared to 16.6%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in accommodation and food services (7.2% compared to 4.1%)
