Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Redcliffe in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (353 males or 17.1%)
  • Manufacturing (211 males or 10.2%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (188 males or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 752 males in total or 36.4% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Woody Point employed 16.9% in Construction; 7.9% in Manufacturing; and 8.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Redcliffe and Woody Point were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (10.2% compared to 7.9%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in retail trade (7.8% compared to 6.4%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in accommodation and food services (5.8% compared to 4.7%)
