Dominant groups

Analysis of the five year age groups of the Hills District in 2021 compared to Bellmere - Moodlu shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a lower proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 20.2% of the population was aged between 0 and 15, and 14.4% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 23.8% and 16.1% respectively for Bellmere - Moodlu.

The major differences between the age structure of the Hills District and Bellmere - Moodlu were:

  • A larger percentage of persons aged 45 to 49 (8.0% compared to 5.4%)
  • A larger percentage of persons aged 50 to 54 (7.2% compared to 5.3%)
  • A larger percentage of persons aged 40 to 44 (7.7% compared to 5.9%)
