Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Stroud and surrounds in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- Australian (1,346 people or 45.8%)
- English (1,267 people or 43.1%)
- Scottish (302 people or 10.3%)
- Irish (296 people or 10.1%)
- Australian Aboriginal (195 people or 6.6%)
In combination these five ancestries account for 3,406 responses in total, or 115.93% of all responses.
The major difference between the ancestries of the population in Stroud and surrounds and MidCoast Council area was:
