Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Lockyer Valley Regional Council in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,693 females or 19.5%)
  • Education and Training (1,204 females or 13.8%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (977 females or 11.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,874 females in total or 44.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Rural West employed 24.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 17.6% in Education and Training; and 11.2% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.
