Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Lockyer Valley Regional Council in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (2,440 people or 13.6%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,012 people or 11.2%)
  • Education and Training (1,551 people or 8.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 6,003 people in total or 33.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, South East Queensland employed 1.0% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 15.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.8% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Lockyer Valley Regional Council and South East Queensland were:
