Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Plainland and District in 2021 compared to Lockyer Valley Regional Council shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 34.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.6% were one-parent families, compared with 28.7% and 11.7% respectively for Lockyer Valley Regional Council.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children.
