Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Lithgow Urban Area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (602 people or 13.8%)
- Public Administration and Safety (468 people or 10.7%)
- Retail Trade (454 people or 10.4%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,524 people in total or 34.9% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Lithgow City employed 12.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.1% in Public Administration and Safety; and 9.0% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Lithgow Urban Area and Lithgow City were:
