Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Wahroonga in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- English (4,322 people or 33.1%)
- Australian (3,392 people or 26.0%)
- Chinese (2,081 people or 15.9%)
- Scottish (1,355 people or 10.4%)
- Irish (1,240 people or 9.5%)
In combination these five ancestries account for 12,390 responses in total, or 94.80% of all responses.
The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Wahroonga and Gordon were:
