Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Aspendale in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (617 females or 33.0%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (381 females or 20.4%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (288 females or 15.4%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,286 females in total or 68.7% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Chelsea employed 33.1% in Professionals; 21.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 15.1% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Aspendale and Chelsea were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (9.9% compared to 8.1%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Labourers (2.4% compared to 3.4%)
