Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Ripley PDA in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (752 people or 17.5%)
- Public Administration and Safety (555 people or 12.9%)
- Retail Trade (436 people or 10.2%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,743 people in total or 40.6% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, the City of Ipswich employed 15.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.0% in Public Administration and Safety; and 9.7% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Ripley PDA and the City of Ipswich were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in public administration and safety (12.9% compared to 9.0%)
