Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Raceview in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,150 people or 16.9%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (793 people or 11.6%)
  • Retail Trade (691 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,634 people in total or 38.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Ipswich employed 15.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.0% in Public Administration and Safety; and 9.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Raceview and the City of Ipswich were:
