Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Young Central in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (693 people or 16.0%)
  • Labourers (607 people or 14.0%)
  • Professionals (572 people or 13.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,872 people in total or 43.3% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Hilltops Council area employed 14.4% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 14.5% in Labourers; and 12.6% in Professionals.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Young Central and Hilltops Council area were:
