Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Windsor in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (110 people or 12.6%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (101 people or 11.5%)
  • Retail Trade (80 people or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 291 people in total or 33.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Hawkesbury City employed 16.3% in Construction; 11.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Windsor and Hawkesbury City were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in accommodation and food services (7.4% compared to 4.8%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (6.6% compared to 4.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons employed in construction (12.6% compared to 16.3%)
