Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in South Windsor in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (307 males or 22.5%)
  • Manufacturing (159 males or 11.6%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (124 males or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 590 males in total or 43.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Wilberforce employed 29.3% in Construction; 8.8% in Manufacturing; and 6.6% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of South Windsor and Wilberforce were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (11.6% compared to 8.8%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (9.1% compared to 6.6%)
