Analysis of the household/family types in North Richmond in 2021 compared to Richmond and District shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 30.3% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 13.0% were one-parent families, compared with 19.7% and 13.0% respectively for Richmond and District.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 23.1% compared to 36.7% in Richmond and District while the proportion of couples without children was 27.0% compared to 21.3% in Richmond and District.
