Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Chigwell in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (110 females or 26.7%)
  • Retail Trade (52 females or 12.6%)
  • Education and Training (43 females or 10.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 205 females in total or 49.8% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Glenorchy City employed 28.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.6% in Retail Trade; and 11.0% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Chigwell and Glenorchy City were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in accommodation and food services (10.2% compared to 8.8%)
