Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Burrum Heads in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (120 people or 19.8%)
  • Construction (66 people or 10.9%)
  • Retail Trade (64 people or 10.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 250 people in total or 41.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Toogoom employed 23.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.4% in Construction; and 12.4% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Burrum Heads and Toogoom were:
