There were more professionals in FNQROC region in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in FNQROC region in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (22,351 people or 17.9%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (18,326 people or 14.6%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (17,653 people or 14.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 58,330 people in total or 46.6% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Etheridge (S) employed 9.3% in Professionals; 9.9% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 5.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of FNQROC region and Etheridge (S) were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Professionals (17.9% compared to 9.3%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (14.1% compared to 5.9%)
