Analysis of individual income levels in Mareeba (S) in 2021 compared to FNQROC region shows that there was a lower proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 5.8% of the population earned a high income, and 33.2% earned a low income, compared with 7.7% and 31.5% respectively for FNQROC region.
The major differences between Mareeba (S)'s individual incomes and FNQROC region's individual incomes were:
- A larger percentage of persons who earned $300 - $399 (9.2% compared to 8.0%)
- A larger percentage of persons who earned $400 - $499 (9.3% compared to 8.2%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned $1,250 - $1,499 (4.8% compared to 6.2%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned $2,000 - $2,999 (4.0% compared to 5.3%)
