Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Rosebery in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (148 people or 11.8%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (113 people or 9.0%)
  • Retail Trade (110 people or 8.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 371 people in total or 29.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Bayside Council area employed 12.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 9.4% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Rosebery and Bayside Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in transport, postal and warehousing (8.6% compared to 7.5%)
