Dominant groups

Analysis of the housing tenure of non-English speakers in Albury City in 2021 compared to Regional VIC shows that there was a smaller proportion of non-English speakers in households who owned their dwelling; a smaller proportion purchasing their dwelling; and a larger proportion who were renters.

Overall, 14.6% of non-English speakers were in households who owned their dwelling; 33.5% were purchasing, and 49.9% were renting, compared with 22.8%, 35.1% and 38.3% respectively for Regional VIC.
