Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Albury City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,762 females or 28.6%)
  • Education and Training (1,924 females or 14.6%)
  • Retail Trade (1,591 females or 12.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 7,277 females in total or 55.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the Cities of Albury and Wodonga employed 28.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.0% in Education and Training; and 12.4% in Retail Trade.

The major difference between the jobs held by the female population of Albury City and the Cities of Albury and Wodonga was:

  • A smaller percentage of females employed in public administration and safety (7.0% compared to 8.4%)
