Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Wellington Shire in 2021 compared to Regional VIC shows that there was a lower proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 17.7% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 21.9% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 18.5% and 21.0% respectively for Regional VIC.
