Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Strathfield CBD in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Accommodation and Food Services (175 males or 16.6%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (153 males or 14.5%)
  • Administrative and Support Services (109 males or 10.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 437 males in total or 41.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Neighbouring Councils employed 5.6% in Accommodation and Food Services; 10.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 3.4% in Administrative and Support Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Strathfield CBD and Neighbouring Councils were:
