Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Stonnington in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (5,702 males or 18.6%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (2,936 males or 9.6%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,742 males or 8.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 11,380 males in total or 37.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Malvern - Armadale Activity Centre Catchment employed 18.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 10.7% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 9.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
