Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in North Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (2,212 males or 20.4%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (1,075 males or 9.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,055 males or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 4,342 males in total or 40.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Malvern - Armadale Activity Centre Catchment employed 18.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 10.7% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 9.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
