Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in East Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,763 males or 17.2%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (972 males or 9.5%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (926 males or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,661 males in total or 35.7% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Malvern - Armadale Activity Centre Catchment employed 18.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 10.7% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 9.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
