Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Eastwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (419 males or 12.8%)
  • Construction (307 males or 9.4%)
  • Retail Trade (288 males or 8.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,014 males in total or 31.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Ryde employed 15.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 9.9% in Construction; and 8.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Eastwood and the City of Ryde were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (6.6% compared to 5.6%)
