Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Sunbury in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (2,658 people or 13.3%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,414 people or 12.1%)
  • Education and Training (1,921 people or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 6,993 people in total or 35.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Westmeadows employed 12.3% in Construction; 11.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.7% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Sunbury and Westmeadows were:
