Dominant groups

Analysis of the language used at home by the population of Concord West in 2021 compared to the City of Canada Bay shows that there was a larger proportion of people who used English only, and a smaller proportion of those using a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).

Overall, 58.4% of the population used English only, and 36.1% used a non-English language, compared with 56.2% and 39.5% respectively for the City of Canada Bay.

The dominant language used at home, other than English, in Concord West was Italian, with 6.6% of the population, or 407 people using this language at home.

The major difference between the languages used at home for the population of Concord West and the City of Canada Bay in 2021 was:
