Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Cabarita in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (118 people or 13.5%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (112 people or 12.8%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (88 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 318 people in total or 36.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Canada Bay employed 12.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.4% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 9.7% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Cabarita and the City of Canada Bay were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in wholesale trade (5.7% compared to 3.5%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (10.0% compared to 7.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons employed in public administration and safety (3.2% compared to 5.3%)
