Analysis of the unpaid care provided by the females in the City of Yarra in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne - Total females shows that there was a lower proportion of persons who provided unpaid care either to family members or others.
Overall, 12.1% of the females provided unpaid care, compared with 14.7% for Greater Melbourne - Total females.
The number of females who provided unpaid assistance to a person with a disability, long term illness or old age in the City of Yarra increased by 990 people between 2016 and 2021.
