Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Rural South East in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (224 people or 20.2%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (122 people or 11.0%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (82 people or 7.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 428 people in total or 38.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Wandin - Seville employed 18.8% in Construction; 12.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 5.8% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Rural South East and Wandin - Seville were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (7.4% compared to 5.8%)
