Dominant groups
Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Lilydale in 2021 compared to Victoria shows that 92.4% of the households owned at least one car, while 4.4% did not, compared with 87.6% and 7.3% respectively in Victoria.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 30.9% of the households owned one car; 38.4% owned two cars; and 23.0% owned three cars or more, compared with 34.6%; 35.3% and 17.6% respectively for Victoria.
