Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Mossfiel in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (361 people or 12.3%)
  • Retail Trade (306 people or 10.5%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (286 people or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 953 people in total or 32.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Werribee Central (North) employed 11.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.1% in Retail Trade; and 10.4% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Mossfiel and Werribee Central (North) were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (8.9% compared to 7.6%)
