Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Edgecliff in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (339 females or 46.3%)
  • Managers (134 females or 18.3%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (116 females or 15.8%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 589 females in total or 80.5% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Woollahra employed 48.1% in Professionals; 21.3% in Managers; and 11.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Edgecliff and Woollahra were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (15.8% compared to 11.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Managers (18.3% compared to 21.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Professionals (46.3% compared to 48.1%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (6.0% compared to 7.7%)
