Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Woollahra Municipality in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (5,777 people or 20.5%)
- Financial and Insurance Services (3,803 people or 13.5%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (3,165 people or 11.2%)
In combination, these three industries employed 12,745 people in total or 45.2% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Edgecliff employed 20.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 13.0% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 10.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Woollahra Municipality and Edgecliff were:
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in public administration and safety (3.7% compared to 5.1%)
