Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Paddington in 2021 compared to Double Bay - Point Piper shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 19.9% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 6.0% were one-parent families, compared with 18.7% and 7.4% respectively for Double Bay - Point Piper.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 35.4% compared to 31.1% in Double Bay - Point Piper while the proportion of couples without children was 26.3% compared to 29.2% in Double Bay - Point Piper.
