Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Thirroul in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Education and Training (491 people or 16.0%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (450 people or 14.6%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (311 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,252 people in total or 40.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Windang - Primbee employed 9.7% in Education and Training; 16.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 5.4% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Thirroul and Windang - Primbee were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in education and training (16.0% compared to 9.7%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (10.1% compared to 5.4%)
