Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Wingecarribee Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,230 people or 13.5%)
  • Construction (2,547 people or 10.6%)
  • Education and Training (2,274 people or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 8,051 people in total or 33.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the Wingello - South West District employed 10.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.4% in Construction; and 7.8% in Education and Training.
