In 2021, there were more males working as technicians and trades workers in the City of Whittlesea than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Whittlesea in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (13,358 people or 23.5%)
  • Professionals (8,600 people or 15.1%)
  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (8,102 people or 14.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 30,060 people in total or 52.8% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, City of Whittlesea - Total population employed 14.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 18.7% in Professionals; and 8.5% in Machinery Operators And Drivers.

The major differences between the jobs held by males in the City of Whittlesea and City of Whittlesea - Total population were:
