Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Whittlesea in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Technicians and Trades Workers (13,358 people or 23.5%)
- Professionals (8,600 people or 15.1%)
- Machinery Operators And Drivers (8,102 people or 14.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 30,060 people in total or 52.8% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, City of Whittlesea - Total population employed 14.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 18.7% in Professionals; and 8.5% in Machinery Operators And Drivers.
The major differences between the jobs held by males in the City of Whittlesea and City of Whittlesea - Total population were:
- A larger percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (23.5% compared to 14.7%)
