The size of the City of Whittlesea's labour force born in Sri Lanka in 2021 was 2,671 people, of which 811 were employed part-time and 1,615 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status of the population born in Sri Lanka (as a percentage of the labour force) in the City of Whittlesea in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a similar proportion in employment, as well as a similar proportion unemployed. Overall, 95.2% of the labour force born in Sri Lanka was employed and 2.4% unemployed, compared with 95.0% and 2.4% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
