The size of the City of Whittlesea's labour force born overseas in 2021 was 48,981 people, of which 15,785 were employed part-time and 27,240 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status of the population born overseas (as a percentage of the labour force) in the City of Whittlesea in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Whittlesea shows that there was a similar proportion in employment, as well as a similar proportion unemployed. Overall, 93.7% of the labour force born overseas was employed and 3.5% unemployed, compared with 94.1% and 3.1% respectively for the total population in the City of Whittlesea.
