Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the Languages of the Philippines speaking resident population in City of Whittlesea in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (585 people or 32.3%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (321 people or 17.7%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (209 people or 11.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,115 people in total or 61.5% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 29.2% in Professionals; 15.6% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 12.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the Languages of the Philippines speaking population of the City of Whittlesea and Greater Melbourne were:

  • A larger percentage of people employed as Professionals (32.3% compared to 29.2%)
