Dominant groups

Analysis of the non-English speaking population in the City of Whittlesea in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Whittlesea shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 18.2% of the non-English speaking population was aged between 0 and 14, and 14.5% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 21.2% and 12.9% respectively for the total population in the City of Whittlesea.

The major differences between the age groups of the non-English speaking population in the City of Whittlesea and the total population in the City of Whittlesea were:
