Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Lalor - East in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (506 people or 13.2%)
- Retail Trade (412 people or 10.7%)
- Manufacturing (378 people or 9.9%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,296 people in total or 33.8% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Epping - West employed 16.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.3% in Retail Trade; and 9.0% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Lalor - East and Epping - West were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in accommodation and food services (8.2% compared to 5.3%)
