Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Whittlesea in 2021 compared to Mernda shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 33.3% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 13.9% were one-parent families, compared with 47.1% and 13.4% respectively for Mernda.
